Environmental and social risk assessment for the Achrafieh Substation (Funded by EBRD, in partnership with EDF and Ramboll France)

SES is implementing an audit of the damaged Achrafieh Substation as a result of the Beirut explosion of August 2020. The project includes the identification of the E&S risks and impacts of the damaged assets, including but not limited to identifying any health and safety risks associated with the reconstruction, any leakage as a result of the damage, or any related contamination from the explosion. Recommendations will be provided to mitigate and manage those risks, considering the EBRD’s E&S Policy (2019).
